drawing strangers

I drew a person for seventy days straight. A random song would play, and I would only have that duration of time to draw them as quickly as possible. During this time, I would write down what I sensed, smelled, felt, and experienced; the smell of perfume, claustrophobia, or neon lights.

I would bring all these feelings and emotions into a new digital composition and collage and record them in a poetry book. Each written poem was derived from a list of words and thoughts I jotted down while drawing a subject.
