editorial architect
This student project required me to create a proposal document that would convince a prospective museum to hold a major exhibition of the work of a chosen designer. The main challenge was to emulate the chosen designer’s style or work while still being unique to our personal design style.
The designer I chose was Matt Willey, the former art director at the New York Times and a partner at Pentagram. Willey’s specialty is in Editorial design, which required me to focus heavily on Editorial design layouts.
Deliverables included a pitchbook, merchandise, and large–scale applications like bus shelter ads and banners.
